Is Your Business Ready for AI? A Simple Readiness Checklist

Check whether your team has the process, data, ownership and safeguards needed for a useful AI pilot.

Readiness is not about having the newest tool. It is about knowing which business process deserves attention, who owns it and how you will protect customers while testing a change.

Name the process and owner

Choose one process with a clear owner: enquiry routing, sales research, content briefs or reporting. The owner explains the current steps, approves the test and decides whether the new process is actually better.

Check information and permissions

Know what information the workflow uses and whether it contains customer, financial or sensitive data. Use approved tools, restrict access and avoid placing confidential information into an unreviewed system.

Define a small proof of value

Set one outcome such as reducing report preparation time, shortening response time or improving the consistency of a content brief. Pilot, review the result and document the decision. This is how an AI experiment becomes a responsible business capability.
